This month, in honor of National First Responders Day, we’re proud to feature Captain Andrew Mackie from the Huntington Beach Marine Safety Division. Since joining the department in 2003, Andrew has dedicated himself to keeping the coast safe and inspiring the next generation of lifeguards. From lifesaving rescues to leading critical training programs, his commitment to public safety and mentorship has left a lasting impact on Huntington Beach.

We had an exciting start to the school year at Costa Mesa High School, where our team partnered with Lester Baron and his crew to launch a brand-new financial literacy program. On Thursday, September 12th, we kicked off the first of nine monthly workshops for AVID students (Advancement Via Individual Determination) with a focus on helping them develop the money management skills they’ll need to succeed in life.
