This month, as part of our National First Responders Day celebration, we are thrilled to recognize Tim Keating, Fire Captain with the Huntington Beach Fire Department, as Firefighter of the Year.

What inspires someone to dedicate their life to saving others? For Trevor McLean, it was a combination of timing, personal experience, and a drive to make a difference. After serving as a Navy Corpsman, Trevor found his calling in firefighting and rescue work. Now, as a Firefighter/EMT with the Anchorage Fire Department, Trevor brings his passion for service to Alaska. We’re proud to feature him as part of our Nuvision Heroes series for National First Responders Day.

What does it mean to protect and serve? For Officer Taylor Davoren, it’s not about recognition; it’s about commitment to her community. In honor of National First Responders Day, we’re proud to feature Taylor, a third-generation police officer and Huntington Beach’s Officer of the Year. Her dedication to helping others and building trust within her community is the kind of service that makes a lasting difference, especially in her work with young people and community safety programs.

This month, in honor of National First Responders Day, we’re proud to feature Captain Andrew Mackie from the Huntington Beach Marine Safety Division. Since joining the department in 2003, Andrew has dedicated himself to keeping the coast safe and inspiring the next generation of lifeguards. From lifesaving rescues to leading critical training programs, his commitment to public safety and mentorship has left a lasting impact on Huntington Beach.
