Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our team members and community, our toy drives in California and Alaska were a huge success! In total, we donated over 500 toys in California and over 250 in Alaska, along with almost 100 gifts in Wyoming!

As the past year of housing reports have documented, home values are rising. Sellers, who have multiple buyers bidding on their homes and end up selling above the asking price, are thrilled. But some potential buyers are concerned. Will rising prices make homeownership unaffordable? The short answer is no.

Born and raised in Chugiak, Alaska, one of the things Trisha Knox values most is giving back to the community she has loved all her life. With the determination she learned growing up in a family of hard-working business owners, she’s spent her 19 years with Nuvision doing exactly that. Trisha always makes time to cultivate real relationships with community members and meet the needs of those around her, whether that means coaching youth sports or helping with Nuvision’s financial literacy program for young adults.

It’s been a busy couple of months at Nuvision. We’ve raised $11,000 for food pantries in Alaska, gave over 700 veterans $25 gas cards across all markets, and hosted a number of lunches and events to thank the local military. Now, it’s about to get even busier! As we enter the holiday season, our efforts to serve the community are ramping up. Between toy drives and other holiday festivities, we’re excited to continue investing in the neighborhoods we serve. As a credit union focused on helping members build their lives, our team places a high value on the relationships we form. That’s why our CEO, Roger Ballard, wanted to make himself personally available to every member in Alaska with a question, concern, or comment. Earlier this month, he spent part a Tuesday afternoon recording from the Financial Center Branch in Anchorage, sharing his vision with members and taking questions over Zoom at a virtual town hall meeting.
