As part of Nuvision fight against fraud and identity theft, members in Orange County, Los Angeles, Arizona, Wyoming, and elsewhere should know that the credit union will NEVER ask for sensitive personal or financial information over the phone or via email.

 

Protection from fraud and scams

 

Keep the following points in mind to help determine whether a call from Nuvision is legitimate:

 

  • Nuvision will NEVER initiate a call, email, or text message that asks you to provide sensitive personal or financial information over the phone or via unsecure electronic communication.
  • Nuvision will NEVER initiate a call, email, or text message that asks you to provide an ATM PIN number.
  • Nuvision will NEVER initiate a call, email, or text message that asks you to provide an account number over the phone or via unsecure electronic communication.
  • Nuvision will NEVER initiate a call, email, or text message that asks you to provide the three-digit code on the back of a debit or credit card over the phone or via unsecure electronic communication.
  • Nuvision will NEVER initiate a call, email, or text message that asks you to provide online banking login or password.

     

    If someone calls and asks you to give them any of the above, be suspicious.

    A legitimate Nuvision representative might provide some account information and ask the member to verify, depending on the reason for the call. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT ABOUT WHETHER A CALL FROM NUVISION IS LEGITIMATE, HANG UP AND CONTACT NUVISION ON YOUR OWN.

  • Call the number on the back of your debit or credit card.

  • Go to the Nuvision Contact Us page and call the phone number listed or fill out and submit the contact form.
