Nuvision Heroes: The Anchorage Cops for Community co-founder dedicated to meeting needs and building positive community relationships
We choose Angie as this month’s Nuvision hero because of her relentless commitment to service, both on and off-duty. Chair and co-founder of the Anchorage Cops for Community non-profit, she’s worked as a probation officer, a firearms instructor, an APD police academy trainer and criminal law teacher, spent 8 years on patrol, and now works in police recruiting. Angie has also been an invaluable partner to Nuvision, helping us support the Shop with a Cop program, Project Angel Tree, and a recent Law Enforcement Appreciation meal drop-off.
Help us save lives! Book an appointment at Nuvision’s blood drive on February 8th to fight the nationwide blood shortage
On February 8th, we’ll be hosting a blood drive for the Southern California community at our Edinger branch in Huntington Beach to fight what the Red Cross is calling the worst blood shortage in over a decade. We encourage everyone to join us and commit to donating blood to fulfill the urgent needs of our hospitals. Less than an hour of your time could save up to four lives!
Nuvision Heroes: A team member who has been serving our community for 22 years
Amita Patel is relentlessly cheerful, encouraging, and always looking for ways to help others. A loyal team member and consistent volunteer at community events, she’s been a part of the Nuvision family for 22 years. To her, it’s like home. That’s why we choose Amita as this month’s Nuvision hero.
