On the road to freedom: The Nuvision Freedom Ride to honor our military & first responders
On the Fourth of July, we’ll honor military members and first responders with a motorcycle ride through Orange County. This is the second year we’ve held this event, and we can’t wait to make it even better than last year.

Riders and non-riders alike are welcome to come out and celebrate our freedom this Fourth of July. Non-riders and motorcycle enthusiasts can find a spot at Nuvision headquarters and wave an American flag or cheer on our riders as they start the route. It’s just one more way you can say thank you to all the brave people who ensure our safety and security.
For riders, registration and participation is completely free! All active-duty military, veterans, firefighters, EMS, police and first-responders are invited to join. Those interested can register at https://nuvisionfederal.com/event/freedomride/.
As a rider, you’ll also be helping to raise money for a local organization. For every rider who participates, Nuvision will make a $25 contribution to the Freedom Committee of Orange County, a veteran run organization that brings living history into classrooms to educate students.

Check-in and registration begins at 7:00 a.m., and riders will rev up their engines at 8 a.m. We’ll start off at Nuvision headquarters, and work our way through Orange County to finish at Cook’s Corner.
At 10:00 am, a free breakfast will be served and we’ll have an Honor Presentation. Following breakfast, award-winning singer-songwriter and Marine veteran Gethen Jenkins will perform. Jenkins is a biker himself and served eight years in the Marine Corps. His musical talent has earned him Male the Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year awards at the California Country Awards.
Attendees will also hear from Dakota Meyer, a United States Marines veteran who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroics in the war in Afghanistan. Meyer fought through an intense combat zone filled with enemy fire to rescue 36 US and Afghan soldiers and help turn the tides of the battle. At 31 years old, he’s is the second youngest living Medal of Honor recipient, and the first living Marine to be honored in 38 years.
Freedom for all: how we keep our community strong
The Freedom Ride is just one of the many events we host throughout the year to support the brave individuals who fight to protect our freedom. Just last month for Memorial Day, we gave away more than 11,000 gallons of free gasoline, along with free car washes and lunch, to veterans and active-duty military at separate events in Huntington Beach and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
We do a lot to honor these people because they do so much to protect us. But we also reach out to other areas of the community. Throughout the year, we promote financial literacy with a college scholarship and essay program for students, and by hosting educational events and creating resources for our hard-working members.
Our employees also routinely donate clothing and food to homeless and underprivileged families, because we believed it’s important to make sure everybody has the opportunity to enjoy their freedom.
