There are so many businesses offering discounts and freebies this month, so we made this list of the top deals.  Whether you’re looking for a present for dad or just want to grab a cheap snack, your wallet will thank you for stopping by one of these places:

Family-friendly activities & freebies

Free craft workshops for the family at Michaels

Availability Dates: June 2nd-7th
Special Details: Sign up on their website.

Michaels always has workshops going on, but these are free! Plus, you can bring the whole family. They have multiple projects going on throughout the week, from painted rock bugs to butterfly puppets. You can check out all the options here.

Cheap theater movies!

Availability Dates: All summer
Special Details: Go to company websites to find participating locations

Many local theaters offer discounted movies over the summer. Programs like the Regal Summer Movie Express and the Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse play movies through the summer months for a dollar or less. This is a great way to keep the kids entertained over the summer without spending a fortune.

Free bowling!

Availability Dates: All summer
Special Details: Find a participating bowling center here

Parents can sign kids up for two free bowling games a week with kids bowl free. A few alleys in Orange County area participate, you can look on their website for the full list. Though this discount is only for the kids, it can significantly reduce the price of your trip if your whole family is bowling.

Home Depot Workshop for Kids

Special Details: Register online before space fills up

Bring your kids to a participating store for a fun, hands-on project. In this workshop, kids will create a putting green for tabletop golf. All attendees receive a free certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and commemorative pin, along with getting to keep their craft.

JC Penny Free Hero Frame Craft for Father’s Day

The JCPenny Kids’ Zone brings fun crafts to kids each month. This month, children can make a frame for their dad. They will receive the craft to take home, an ID badge, a lanyard, and a collector’s pin.

Create a birdfeeder at Lowe’s

Lowe’s build and grow program hosts monthly workshops for kids. In celebration of Father’s Day, kids can create a birdfeeder for their backyard.

June 7th is national donut day, and many donut stores give away free treats on this day. Last year, Dunkin' Donuts gave away a free classic donut with the purchase of any beverage. Krispy Kreme gave away a choice any donut for free, without a purchase. Both stores are likely to have similar offers again this year. 

Free smoothie from Tropical Cafe

In celebration of National Flip Flop Day, Tropical Smoothie Café is giving away free 16oz Sunshine Smoothies to anybody who enters the store wearing flip flops. Not a bad deal for just for wearing your summer shoes.

Gym memberships

If you’re thinking about getting a gym membership, now is the right time. Gyms typically see a dip in members during summer and really want new customers around now. Some may have advertised discounts, but even if they don’t, you may still be able to negotiate a lower price. Or, you could ask for a free month.
