Every Toy Counts: Help Nuvision Collect Toys for Families in Need

Can you imagine a holiday without a single gift? For many kids in our communities, this is their reality—but it doesn’t have to be. Nuvision Credit Union is proud to once again host our Holiday Toy Drive as part of the NuvisionCares initiative, helping spread the holiday spirit for kids and families in our communities.

The holidays are about more than just presents—they’re about hope, community, and showing kindness to those who need it most. That’s why we partner with organizations like Toys for Tots and local programs to make sure  every child feels loved during the holiday season

It’s More Than Just Toys: Why We Give Back

For decades, programs like Toys for Tots have been making a real difference for kids and families who need a little extra help during the holidays. It all started back in 1947 when a group of U.S. Marines wanted to make sure no child missed out on the joy of the season. What began as a small act of kindness has turned into a nationwide tradition, showing just how much we can accomplish when we work together.

At Nuvision, this effort means a lot to us. It’s not just about collecting toys—it’s about giving back to the communities we’re a part of, honoring the military roots of Toys for Tots, and making sure families in our neighborhoods feel cared for. It’s our way of spreading some holiday magic and helping kids feel special.

From Anchorage to Huntington Beach, Cheyenne to the Bay Area, every toy collected is more than just a gift. It’s a chance to make a child smile, give a family hope, and remind people they’re not alone. This is what the holidays are all about—coming together to make a difference.

How You Can Help

Want to help? It’s easy, and every little bit helps! Here’s how you can make a difference in your area:

Southern California

• Donate a new, unwrapped toy at any Nuvision branch by December 16th.
• Order online using our wish lists, or ship to: Nuvision Credit Union/Holiday Toy Drive

All toys will be distributed to children in partnership with Toys for Tots.

Alaska

• Bring a toy to any Nuvision Alaska branch by December 20th.
• Shop online through our preselected Wish Lists for Anchorage, Eagle River, Fairbanks, Juneau, Kenai, and Wasilla for gifts to be donated to your local nonprofit.
• Or, ship toys to: ATTN: Toy Drive

Your donations will support local programs like Anchorage Cops for Community’s “Shop with a Hero” event, which ensures kids from the Anchorage School District feel the joy of the holidays.

Bay Area

• Drop off new, unwrapped toys at our Berkeley or Martinez branches by December 9th.
• Shop online from our wish lists for Contra Costa or Alameda County.

Every donation supports Toys for Tots programs in these counties, directly helping children in your local community.

Wyoming

• Bring toys to any Casper or Cheyenne branch by December 16th.
• Purchase from our wish lists for Casper and Cheyenne, or ship to your local branch.

With local Toys for Tots programs in Wyoming experiencing increased need, this year’s drive is more critical than ever.
