It's time for summer fun! The Top Southern California community events in June

Family Event

With school out and summer getting its start, you’re probably on the search for some fun summer activities. Whether you’re looking for family events or adult outings, you’re sure to find something on our list of the top events happening in June:

SoCal Hot Sauce Festival

When: Sunday, June 5th, 2019 from 12-5pm
Where: Towne Park Brewery & Taproom (1566 West Lincoln Avenue)
Cost: Free, but must register online

Spice it up by sampling from over a dozen California handcrafted hot sauce makers. When you need to cool off, visit some of the other vendors, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many food options. When you’re tired of hot sauce, you can try some of the beer from Towne Park Brewery.

The Baker Street Bash

When: June 7-9th, 2019
Where: 1015 Baker Street, Costa Mesa, CA
Cost: Free

Bring the whole family for a day filled with food, fun, rides, games, and entertainment! The kids will love the carousel, mini roller coaster, pirate ship, fun slides, and many other rides offered. Everybody will enjoy the wide range of food options and various shows throughout the day.

OC Night Market

When: June 14-16th, 2019
Where: OC Fair & Event Center (88 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa, CA)
Cost: $5/ticket, children under three enter free

Join the largest party and night market of the summer hosted at the OC Fair & Event Center. The OC Night market is a fun place to hang out, eat, and shop from more than 200 local vendors. It includes many activities to participate in, like an Art Walk, an eating contest, a dance competition, and even live entertainment.

2019 Auto Enthusiast Day

When: Saturday, June 15th from 12-5pm
Where: Angel Stadium (2000 E Gene Autry Way, Anaheim, CA 92806)
Cost: Free

See some of the coolest vehicles at their best with driving and off-roading demonstrations, a vendor area dedicated to auto products, and a variety of other vehicle-related activities. If you love cars, you’ll want to be here.

Pasadena Chalk Festival

When: June 15-16th, 2019
Where: The Paseo, 300 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91101
Cost: Free

The chalk festival features street art by some of the best artists in the field. An average year pulls nearly 600 artists and almost 100,000 visitors. But it’s not just chalk art you’ll find—there’s also an art gallery, animation alley, police car show, interactive kids chalk art area, and even live music.

Day of Music

When: Friday, June 21st, 2019
Where: Fullerton, CA
Cost: Free

You won’t want to miss Orange County’s biggest free music festival. With over 150 free concerts in 40 venues across Fullerton, the scale of this event is incredible. It takes place on June 21st, the Summer Solstice, in conjunction with similar festivals in almost a thousand other cities worldwide.

Fountain Valley Summerfest

When: June 20-23rd, 2019
Where: Mile Square Regional Park, 16801 Euclid Street
Cost: Entry is free, rides require the purchase of a wristband or tickets

This is a perfect event for the whole family. Come out and enjoy carnival rides, live music, a car show, food, a beer festival, and a variety of vendors. With so much going on, you’re sure to find something you’ll like.

k9 Summer Fest 2019

When: Sunday, June 23rd, 2019 from 12-4pm
Where: Pan Pacific Recreation Center, Field #2
Cost: $25

Are you in love with your furry friend? Come join other animal lovers at the k9 Summer Fest! The event features a doggie fun run, specialty vendors, a kid’s corner, and games for both dogs and humans. There will also be a buffet and drinks included in the admission price.

Saint Paul’s 41st Annual Greek Festival

When: June 28-30th, 2019
Where: 4949 Alton Parkway Irvine, California 92604
Cost: $3/person, free for kids under 10 and active duty military or veterans

Get a little taste of Greek Culture at this fun-filled festival. Attendees can eat authentic Greek dishes and pastries, participate in Greek folk dancing, take the kids to a free play zone, tour the unique vendors, or watch a cooking demonstration.

Summer Meltdown Truck Show

When: Sun, June 30, 2019, from 11 am to 5 pm
Where: 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA
Cost: $10 for general admission, free for kids under 10

See some of the highest performance trucks from across California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. Visitors can participate in product raffles, shop at vendor booths, and enjoy live music. This is a great event for the whole family. 

Looking Forward: Coming in July...

freedomeride

Join us on The Fourth of July, for our Freedom Ride, a ride to support the military and our first responders! We will meet at Nuvision Credit Union (7812 Edinger Ave. Huntington Beach, CA 92647) at 7:30 am on The Fourth of July, and we will begin the ride at 8 am. Our route will head South to Laguna Canyon, and then we will ride through the canyons of Orange and Anaheim Hills on the way to Cook’s Corner along Trabuco Canyon.

We plan on arriving at Cook’s Corner by 10 am. There will be live music at 10:30 am, a Free breakfast with special guest speakers, and an Honor Presentation. Together, we will honor those who serve and thank them for everything they do to ensure our freedoms.
