Holiday Giveaway

As the holidays wind down and we’re gearing up for the new year, we wanted to pause and celebrate what turned out to be an amazing Added Advantage Holiday Cash Giveaway.

What a season it turned out to be. We gave away THOUSANDS in cash prizes to members across California, Alaska, Wyoming, and Arizona—real money hitting accounts right when it could make the biggest difference for holiday bills, gifts, or just a little breathing room.

The part we love most? Every winner doubled their prize simply by following us on social media. That meant $250 became $500, $500 turned into $1,000, $1,000 to $2,000, and the grand prize went from $3,000 to $6,000. Thousands of extra dollars for our members, all because you connected with us.

Even better—every single win came with a $500 donation in the winner’s name to local charities in our communities. Your entries and engagement helped us send thousands more to organizations that feed hungry families, keep at-risk kids in school, and give people facing tough times the real support they need to get back on their feet.

The Big Winners

The grand prize drawing on December 17 was the moment we’d all been waiting for. Huge congratulations to Veonny R. from our Monterey Park, CA branch—she won the $3,000 grand prize and saw it instantly double to $6,000 just because she was already following us on social media.

And let’s give it up for every single weekly winner—you all showed up, entered week after week, and most of you doubled your prizes simply by staying connected with us online.

Here’s the full list of members who walked away with extra cash for the holidays:

Giving Back: Every Win Meant Real Help for Families in Need

This year’s Added Advantage Holiday Cash Giveaway was bigger than just putting cash in members' pockets—it was about making a real difference for families who were struggling in the communities we call home.

For every single winner, we donated $500 in their name to one of five incredible local charities serving Southern California, Northern California, Alaska, Wyoming, and Arizona. That's thousands of dollars going directly to organizations fighting hunger and homelessness—because no one should have to worry about their next meal or a safe place to sleep, especially during the holidays.

Here's a closer look at the amazing partners your participation helped support:

Robyne’s Nest (Southern California): A lot of high school kids in Huntington Beach and Newport Mesa show up to school because it's the only place they feel safe and know they'll get a meal. Robyne’s Nest helps at-risk and homeless teens who don't have parents covering the basics—giving them clothes, school supplies, emergency cash, and real guidance so they can graduate and stand on their own.

Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa (Northern California): They've been at it since 1983, serving over 6.5 million meals to people going hungry in the Bay Area. Every day, 700 volunteers dish out 2,000–4,000 hot meals from their dining rooms and mobile unit. On top of that, they run a free 12-week culinary training program that gets people real jobs in kitchens—turning folks who needed help into folks who can support themselves.

The Children’s Lunchbox (Alaska): Through Beans Café in Anchorage, they're packing 6,811 meals a month on average for kids and families across more than 16 schools and sites. Just since October 2023, that's over 415,000 meals. It started with school lunches but now covers summers, weekends, and whole families—so no kid goes hungry any day of the week. Their motto is simple: Fight hunger and homelessness, one meal at a time.

Friday Food Bag Foundation (Wyoming): Kids get meals at school during the week, but weekends can be rough for some families. This group sends kids home every Friday with bags of food to get them through until Monday.

Paz de Cristo (Arizona): Every evening in Mesa, they serve hot meals, open emergency shelter beds, and hand out resources to people dealing with hunger, poverty, and homelessness—giving them food, a place to sleep, and a real shot at getting back on track. Together, through your entries, follows, and excitement, we turned holiday wins into lasting support for families who need it most. These organizations don't just help during the holidays—they're out there every single day making our communities stronger.

Thanks to everyone who entered and followed, we were able to send real support to these groups that are out there helping people every single day—not just during the holidays. You helped make that happen!
