Nuvision is excited to announce that John Garcia, a senior at Schurr High School in Montebello, has won 2018’s Essay Challenge Scholarship!

This month, our country recognizes and honors those who served in our military and gave the ultimate sacrifice. We celebrate Memorial Day as a day of remembrance for those who died while courageously protecting our country.

Nuvision is proud to again support our military this Memorial Day by honoring the men and women of the military who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and given their lives to protect our country and secure the freedoms that we sometime take for granted.

With its inherent and passionate commitment to the Southern California community, Nuvision Credit Union recognized the financial education void and set out to conquer it by launching the first Essay Challenge Scholarship Program in 2016. Now in its third year, this one-of-a-kind contest and program provides students from more than a dozen Southern California high schools with accessible money management information taught by financial advisors, college scholarships and funds for schools to teach financial literacy.
