Building Financial Confidence Starts Early
On September 11th, Nuvision kicked off the second year of our How Money Works financial literacy program at Costa Mesa High School. Partnering with Lester Baron and the How Money Works team, we welcomed nearly 100 students—many returning 10th–12th graders who took part last year, along with a brand-new group of freshmen eager to learn.
The energy was high. Teachers were excited to see us back on campus, and students jumped right in to explore real-world money lessons that will help them make smarter financial decisions. Over the course of the school year, our team will return each month through May to guide students through key financial planning topics—helping them build confidence, take control of their money, and plan for their future.
Why Financial Literacy Matters
Learning about money isn’t just about saving or budgeting—it’s about building a foundation for life. When young people understand how money works, they’re better prepared to avoid debt traps, set goals, and turn their dreams into reality. That’s exactly why Nuvision invests time and resources into programs like this. Because financial wellness doesn’t just happen—it’s built through education and practice.
Tools for Every Stage of Life
The commitment doesn’t stop in the classroom. Our Financial Wellness Center is designed to give members of all ages the resources to make smart money moves. From saving strategies to understanding credit, buying a home, or planning for retirement, it’s a hub for tools, articles, and guidance that fit your stage of life.
Stay Ahead of What’s Next
Financial wellness also means being prepared for the bigger economic picture. That’s why we’re hosting our annual 2025 Economic Forecast Webinar on October 16th with Dr. Christopher Thornberg of Beacon Economics. Inflation, interest rates, trade wars—these headlines affect more than just the news cycle, they affect your wallet. This live online event will break down what’s happening in the economy right now and what it means for you, your family, and your financial future.
