To pay our respects to the Veterans laid to rest at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery, our Nuvision Alaska team is partnering with American Legion Jack Henry Post 1 to clean headstones in time for Memorial Day. Our goal is to pay tribute to the true meaning of Memorial Day, which is to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while defending our nation.

We are asking for the community and our members to come together to join us on Sunday, May 28th from 9:30 AM-1:00 PM.  Hundreds of gravesites need maintenance and many headstone markers are not visible due to being overgrown with sod. We hope to pay tribute to these soldiers by making their names be seen and recognized.

Please consider signing up to join us. Family or friends are welcome, the more volunteers we get, the larger impact we can make. Veteran-owned businesses will be providing coffee and snacks to volunteers and there is a reception at the American Legion after the clean-up.

We will have a limited supply of tools available for use but please consider bringing yard tools if possible. A list of tools are on the sign-up page. For any questions, please reach out to [email protected].

Veteran-owned businesses including Elevated Oats, AK Coffee Company, and Zip Kombucha will be providing snacks and refreshments for volunteers during the day. After the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a reception at American Legion Post 1 with food catered by Spinz Pollo a La Brasa. We hope to see you there!
