If you receive a call from a person claiming to be a Nuvision representative and asks you to “update information” on your account, please know that it could be a scam.

Recently, scammers have been targeting financial institutions by calling or texting their members and posing as a representative. These fraudsters will usually ask you to “update information” to trick you into giving your 4-digit PIN or other sensitive data. The best way to protect yourself in these situations is to call us directly and double-check all suspicious phone numbers against the one on  our website.

Scammers may sound trustworthy and legitimate.

Scammers are good at what they do and have no issues taking advantage of your trust. They might initially appear legitimate by providing personal information, using a local phone number, showing up with a caller ID that says Denali, or sounding like a real representative over the phone.

Some fraud victims have reported that searching the scammer’s phone number on Google caused their bank to show up as the first result. This does not indicate the caller is who they claim to be. The best way to confirm the caller’s identity is to call us directly at 800-444-6327.

To protect yourself from scammers, please take these steps:

  • Beware of requests for personal information – We will never initiate a call or send a text asking for sensitive financial or personal information, PIN numbers, or online banking logins. The only time we would ask for your information is after an action you’ve initiated, such as signing in to online banking, sending money, or when you call us directly. Do not give your information to someone over the phone without confirming their identity.
  • When in doubt, call our main customer service line at 800-444-6327 – If you are in doubt that a caller is truly from Nuvision, hang up the phone and call the number listed on  our website or the back of your debit or credit card.

We are committed to providing you with the information necessary to safely, securely, and conveniently carry out your banking activities.
