Each year, Nuvision Alaska teams up with our members, the community, and the Blood Bank of Alaska to host a life-saving blood drive for Alaskans. Your past generosity at the annual drive has directly supported countless patients facing critical health needs in our communities.
Honoring a Brave Child's Legacy
We are honored to invite you to donate at our 4th Annual Asher Banks Memorial Blood Drive on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 8:30 AM-4:00 PM at our Nuvision Alaska Financial Center (440 E 36th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99508).
During Asher's memorial service, his parents asked for friends, family and neighbors to donate blood to help other families facing cancer. To continue paying tribute to Asher’s memory, Nuvision has made it our mission to raise awareness for the urgent need for blood donations throughout Alaska. Please join us in fulfilling this promise.
If you live outside of Anchorage, you can participate by donating blood between October 2 and October 9 at your local Regional Blood Bank of Alaska Center.
Alaskans Need Your Help!
According to the Blood Bank of Alaska, only 2% of Alaskans donate blood annually, while a staggering 1 in 3 Alaskans will need a blood donation in their lifetime. Your donation can help someone like Asher in the community, who is in vital need of a blood donation.
HOW TO DONATE
All donors will receive double Hero Points to be used at the Blood Bank of Alaska’s online store.
- Sign up for a specific time through the Blood Bank of Alaska. This option is for the Anchorage drive on 10/9/2026 only. You will need to create a Blood Bank of Alaska account to choose your time slot using this option.
- Call the Blood Bank of Alaska directly at (907) 222-5630 or your local Blood Bank's number listed below to schedule a donation appointment and notify staff you are donating for the Asher Banks Memorial Drive.

If you are located in Fairbanks, Juneau, Kenai, or Wasilla, you can still participate in the drive by donating blood at your regional blood center between 10/2 - 10/9/2026. Please call your regional center to schedule your appointment. To redeem double hero reward points for this drive, you can use the sign-in sheet at the centers
and bring a Nuvision Donor Slip with you.
