Member Challenge: Feeding Families and Helping to Ensure Nobody Goes Hungry
Nuvision’s Leadership Team Volunteers at Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County
At Nuvision, giving back to the community is one of our top priorities. From our annual scholarship essay program for local high school students to our recent gas giveaway for veterans, we are dedicated to helping serve the communities that we call home.
Recently, the Nuvision leadership team was given a chance to volunteer at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County to help provide food to local charities and work towards creating a future where no one goes hungry.
Hunger in our Communities
Many are unaware that there are so many people in our community who go hungry every day. According to the California Association of Food Banks, here in California, nearly 1 in 8 households face food insecurity every day. Even more heartbreaking, is they estimate that 1 out of every 4 California kids may go to bed hungry each night.
Our leadership team was so moved by their experience at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County that we wanted to let our members know about the charity and encourage all members to do their part.
