Nuvision gives $5,500 to members in Added Advantage Summer Giveaway

It’s not often somebody hands you a couple hundred dollars just for making a call. Yet over the summer, ten of our Added Advantage members have had that experience.

“What’s the catch?” many asked as we handed them their $500 check.

Their disbelief was understandable; after all, free money is hard to come by. But there was no catch—the Summer Cash Giveaway was just our way of helping our loyal members have a stress-free summer. 

In total, nine members received $500, and one received $1000 as part of our giveaway program. In addition to exclusive access to giveaways like these, our Added Advantage members enjoy benefits like specialized support, rewards for everyday banking, and access to lower rates.

You’re more than a member. You’re our mission.

“So many companies are focused on getting new members, but I appreciate that you guys thank members who have been loyal for a long time,” said Alice Vanhorn, the season’s first giveaway winner and Nuvision member since 2006.

Alice echoed what we hope many of our members realize. Our credit union exists to serve you—to supply your banking needs, and also to provide resources that can help you build your life. 

We believe in this mission so much that we take every opportunity to reach out and make it a reality. We help our members not just by giving to them, but by giving back to the communities they live in.

From our Toys for Tots drive, our Memorial Day gas giveaways, the recent Freedom Ride, we are constantly trying to build up the communities we serve and ensure the hard-working people who make them are taken care of.

The time is always right to give back

You never know when a gesture can really make a difference in somebody’s life. A few of the winners told us the money came just at the right time to help them pay for bills, and another told us it came at a good time to help with a procedure they were undergoing due to an injury.

While not everybody had an immediate purpose for the money, they were all very excited—and some completely shocked they didn’t have to do anything to obtain the reward. Ronald, who won during our second week, got a call from his daughter about winning before he even had a chance to tell her. She was also a member and had seen the email announcement that he won.
