Honoring Our Heroes: From Alaska to California Events Pay Tribute to Fallen Soldiers
Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of May, holds profound significance as a day to honor and remember the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the United States. This day provides an opportunity for reflection on the bravery and sacrifice of those who lost their lives defending our freedoms and values.

Nuvision Credit Union is deeply committed to supporting our veterans and active military personnel, not only on Memorial Day but throughout the year. This year, we have lined up a series of events across Alaska, Wyoming, and California to show our appreciation and to join with our local communities in honoring our heroes.
Alaska Military Events
In Alaska, Nuvision is honoring those who serve by supporting the Wasilla Chamber's Military Appreciation Lunch as well donating to the Veteran of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts for veteran programs in Fairbanks.
Nuvision is also proud to host the 3rd annual Honoring our Heroes Headstone Clean-Up. This event, in partnership with American Legion Jack Henry Post 1, will take place at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery on May 25th. Volunteers will engage in maintaining and preserving the grave markers of local veterans, ensuring their legacies are honored and remembered with the respect they deserve.

Additionally, our Memorial Day Appreciation Luncheon in Anchorage will offer veterans and their guests a chance to enjoy a free BBQ lunch, live music, and the company of fellow service members, underscoring our ongoing support for those who have served.

Wyoming Military Events
In Wyoming, the Cheyenne community will benefit from a month-long Military Appreciation event sponsored by Nuvision. Highlights include the Military Award Ceremony and a special Armed Forces Day BBQ at the Airplane Hangar, providing a space for veterans and their families to come together in a show of mutual respect and appreciation.

California Military Events
In California, we are honored to participate in the 70th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park in Costa Mesa. This significant event will feature an airshow, a Wreath Laying Ceremony, and a gathering of veterans and active-duty military personnel. Nuvision will provide hospitality with coffee and drinks, facilitating an atmosphere of commemoration and community.
