Every child and family deserves the opportunity to build a better future. That's why we are excited about our NuvisionCares Helping Kids in Our Community month.
In the Bay Area, we’re hosting our 8th annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive through August 16, supporting children in the communities of Berkeley and Martinez. With your help we can make a vital impact in the lives of these children. Join us in making a positive difference as kids in our community head back to school.
With your support, this is how we plan to help
We will be distributing the filled backpacks the first week of August to 1st grade children at Las Juntas Elementary School, as well as to elementary-aged children in attendance at Soulful Softball Sunday at Nicholl Park in Richmond on Sunday, August 25th.
How to Donate
We invite our members and the community to join us by dropping off new backpacks and school supplies at our Martinez or Berkeley branches. Members can also simply donate through our preselected Amazon student wish list.

About Las Juntas Elementary School
Las Juntas Elementary, located in Martinez, California, is a Title 1 school dedicated to providing quality education to its students. With additional federal funding, the school supports programs that enhance academic achievement for all students, especially those from low-income families. The committed staff and involved community at Las Juntas work together to create an environment where every child can thrive and succeed.
About Soulful Softball Sunday
Soulful Softball Sunday, held annually at Nicholl Park in Richmond, California, is a cherished community event founded by Rodney (Alamo) Brown. The event brings people together for a day of softball, music, food, and community resources. This year, Nuvision Credit Union is proud to support the event by distributing backpacks filled with school supplies to elementary-aged children, ensuring they have what they need for a successful school year.
