NuVision Federal Credit Union Announces Annual Spring Toy Drive Benefiting Pediatric Patients Across Southern California

Chick-fil-A Restaurants in Costa Mesa & Santa Ana Team up with NuVision

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (April 8, 2015) – NuVision Federal Credit Union today announced that its branches across Los Angeles and Orange Counties are once again serving as collection sites for the credit union’s annual Spring Toy Drive benefiting Children’s Hospitals of Orange County and Los Angeles. The credit union is also partnering with Chick-fil-A restaurants in Costa Mesa and Santa Ana, which will serve as additional collection sites and provide a free chicken sandwich for anyone who comes into the restaurants to donate a new toy for CHOC.

NuVision Federal Credit Union will be collecting new, unwrapped toys donated by its employees, members and the general public during the months of April and May 2015. Southern California branch locations and business hours to drop off toys are provided below. The public can also drop off toys at Chick-fil-A’s Costa Mesa and Santa Ana restaurants (addresses provided below).

“Toy donations from the community are needed year-round, not just during the holidays,” said L.J. Tarman, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at NuVision Federal Credit Union. “NuVision is proud to once again support the Children’s Hospitals of Orange County and Los Angeles as they help make hospital stays a little less stressful for the children in their care.”

“We would also like to thank Chick-fil-A restaurants for joining forces with us this year to make our annual Spring Toy Drive for pediatric patients in Southern California the best ever,” added Tarman.

Children’s Hospitals of Orange County and Los Angeles offer group activities in their numerous playrooms as well as bedside activities for pediatric patients. They also help patients and their families celebrate special occasions such as holidays and birthdays in the hospital. The generous toy donations received from the community help greatly in all of these areas. New toys are needed for children of all ages, but there is a specific need for toys geared toward children under the age of five and teens.
