NuVision FCU January 2016

In the Community

NuVision Federal Credit Union adopted eight Southern California families for the holidays, fulfilling their Christmas wish lists and making the season brighter for these local families in need.

The families were adopted from Oak View Elementary School in Huntington Beach, Dolores Elementary School in Carson, Hillcrest Elementary School in Monterey Park, and Bennett Kew Elementary School in Inglewood. The NuVision team shopped for and donated gifts to fulfill the individual wish lists of each family member. The gifts were wrapped and delivered to the families just in time for Christmas.

"The holidays are a time for giving, and the NuVision team were delighted to bring the true spirit of the season to each of these local families in our community," said Attila Morgan, Manager of Community Involvement and Business Development at NuVision Federal Credit Union.

NuVision branches across Los Angeles and Orange Counties also served as collection sites for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program for the 10th consecutive year. The credit union collected over eight bins of new, unwrapped toys for needy children in the community donated by the NuVision team and its members.

"Toys For Tots is an incredible organization, and we are honored to be celebrating 10 years of working together with them to provide holiday gifts for children in need," said Morgan. Through Toys For Tots, U.S. Marines have distributed more than 450 million toys to more than 200 million needy children over the past 65 years.
